LESLIE AND TOM

Leslie & Tom have 35 years experience coaching figure skating. Leslie began her skating career in her parent's rink in Norfolk, VA. at the age of six. She competed ten years and moved to Las Vegas, NV when she was sixteen years of age. She spent three years in Los Angeles, CA where she attended the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.

When she returned to Las Vegas she began her seventeen year coaching career with Crystal Palace. During that time she produced several Regional and National Champions. Further, Leslie used her acting skills to produce several Gold Skate Productions, and to this day she is still the only coach outside of California to win production titles.

Tom began his skating career in Northridge, CA, also at the age of six. He competed for fourteen years and retired at the age of twenty-one. He immediately began coaching, and also went on to coach several Regional and National Champions. In 2001, Tom received his Bachelor's of Science from California State University, Northridge in physical education and is currently pursuing a degree in elementary education.

On April 21st, 2001 Leslie and Tom were married, Tom moved to Las Vegas to start a family, and now they have Hunter. Leslie and Tom bring their coaching experience to Pahrump, and have adopted the philosophy that skating is an avenue toward creating well-rounded individuals using a combination of discipline and fun.
